2004 Shiraz Viognier: $35

Canberra has become known for Rhone-style Shiraz and this is no exception. Deep ruby colour and black pepper aromas lead into a lively rich palate with spicy oak and soft tannins. This wine was co-fermented with 5% Viognier to give a floral lift and liveliness to the wine, as well as a layer of spicy complexity to the palate. It has now had 5 years bottle maturation and is now beautifully soft and well integrated.
